A South Congress Engagement Session Full of Laughs, Love, and Retro Charm
Cheyenne and Nathan’s South Congress engagement session was as joyful and personality-packed as their love story. These two are wildly in love, full of infectious energy, and not afraid to be totally themselves in front of the camera—which made our time together feel more like a hangout than a photo session.
We started in the heart of South Congress, hitting all the iconic spots—colorful murals, vintage storefronts, and lively sidewalks. Cheyenne, a fellow wedding vendor and creative, came with a clear vision for the shoot: something fun, full of movement, and undeniably them. With Nathan cracking dad jokes left and right (he did win her over with a dinosaur cleaning supply pun, after all), it didn’t take long for the laughter to take over.
After exploring SoCo, we made our way to the retro boats on Lady Bird Lake for the dreamiest golden hour moments. The light, the water, and the 70s-inspired colors made the perfect backdrop for this couple’s playful dynamic and genuine connection. Every glance, giggle, and gesture between them felt effortless and sweet—as if even dishwashing together would be a little bit magical.
This session was such a reflection of who they are: equal parts goofy and tender, wildly in love, and so clearly meant to be. Cheyenne and Nathan, you two are something special.
